In 2012 the world community called on Australia to take action to protect the Great Barrier Reef from industrial port developments and other threats, or risk having it officially listed as “in danger” of destruction.
On the 1st February 2013 the Australian and Queensland Governments must report on what they have – and haven’t – done to safeguard the reef for future generations.
Join us on Friday 1st February at 12 noon to show your support for the Great Barrier Reef and call on the Australian and Queensland Governments to halt the expansion of coal ports along the Reef coast.
Australians need to act now and let our governments know we won’t stand by and watch while the Reef become degraded or slowly disappears.
